Facts: Laser Eye Treatment For 14 Year Old With -411

I have a very bad eye power. I am near-sighted and am told by doctors that it will continue to increase. The doctor also said Laser cannot fix my eyes because they will pass the maximum limit of -10 power over time, which I am at right now. I am strongly recommended not to do Laser right now since my eyes are growing (after 22 is okay). When I turn that age, can I get laser treatment for powers like -14 or something, or is what my doctor said true?

  1. Kat Says:

Do you really think a bunch of people on some internet site are going to know better than your doctor? There is a reason they are the doctors and not us.

Anyways, your doctor is probably right but if you really dislike what they have to say you can always just get a second opinion from another doctor. Make sure you are going to an eye specialist though, not just a regular doctor.

  2. Baby Says:

What your doctor said was completely true. They will not be able to do laser treatment with this sort of prescription, but there are some other options that could be looked into at this point. You may be a candidate for an intra ocular lens implant. This is when they change the prescription in the lens inside the eye in a similar way to a cataract operation
