The Facts Regarding Can I Wear Contact Lenses With Astigmatism, After

Thursday, June 9th, 2011

I have astigmatism.
I usually wear glasses, and sometimes daily contact lenses, but the prescription for daily contacts wasnt strong enough to be a perfect match because my astigmatism is pretty severe.
The optician told me i wouldnt be able to wear coloured contacts because of this.

However, now I might be getting laser-eye surgery soon (my consultation is tomorrow).
Will i be able to wear coloured nonprescription contacts afterwards?

Astigmatism is caused by the shape of the eye being distorted, or something like that, right?
(no one ever really explained it to me properly)
So despite being able to see properly without glasses/contacts, will my astigmatism still prevent me from wearing coloured contacts?

Can You Get Disability Compensation Or Treatment For -Facts

Wednesday, June 1st, 2011

When I was in the Marines I was offered vision correction surgery by the Navy since I was in a limited MOS at the time that was approved by military for PRK vision correction by the military doctors. I went ahead with surgery. In consults docs explained how vision will naturally begin to deteriorate around mid 40′s. Here I am 5 years later, only 26 years old and vision is back at where I’ll need glasses again and getting worse. Can I file a disability claim for this? Anyone else experience similar? Can I go to the VA to atleast get free glasses?
