Hi I want to get laser eye surgery (I don’t know any special medical terms but it’s the kind when you just want to go from glasses to no glasses) what age do you need to be? and if you could add a price that’d be great.

My left eye power is 6 and Right eye is 9. I know that is too high. I went to a eye clinic recently. Doc told me to take up zyoptic laser eye surgery, so that i no longer have to wear spectacle.

What i want to know is
1) Is laser eye surgery SAFE ?
2) Will i get my vision fully after surgery?

Though it may sound similar to that of PRK, the difference is that the recovery process is faster and the use of a blade to create the flap is avoided. The goal of laser eye surgery is to correct one’s visual difficulties such as nearsightedness or Myopia, where one can only see object which are near, another is hyperopia or farsightedness which a condition where one can only vividly see objects at a distance. There is also Astigmatism, a condition known to be characterized by multiple curvatures in the cornea which in result causes blurred vision as light is bent to multiple focal points. There is also Presbyopia which is condition known to occur usually at the age of forties; it has characteristic similar to that of Myopia where near objects cannot be seen clearly however, this occurs after hyperopia has been tried to correct with contact lenses or glasses.

While the FDA has approved laser eye surgery to correct vision conditions, there are a lot of questions which one may have in mind. One with a refractive problem in their eyes within a treatable range of effective treatment can be a candidate for refractive surgery provided that they are above 18 years of age and have had healthy eyes. When one considers the idea of undergoing refractive surgery, they must try to find a good surgeon to work with.
