Generally, I would ask them one question. Should something go wrong in the procedure that will require me to have a corneal transplant, can you perform that procedure? Only a corneal specialist can do that. If they say either, “Oh you won’t have that problem” or “We’d refer you to the correct specialist,” walk out the door and go to that specialist. You want the same surgeon looking at your eyes and at his/her work if something goes wrong. LASIK is extremely safe and effective, but, as with any surgery, there are risks.

Montreal, Canada-they have the latest equipment and the doctors have the most experience. My eye doctor recommended LAZIC-they are on the web. Many U.S. guys don’t even own their own equipment so it is not the latest and greatest. How many procedures do you think have been performed if they only rent the tools? My procedure had absolutely NO COMPLICATIONS. I have 20/20 in each eye now and am going for my 6 month check-up next week

Go to your Optometrist and have him/her refer you to a reputable lasik center in your area. You will need to have a consultation done. The surgeon will be able to let you know if your a candidate.
